Hi!
My name is Zachary VanOrman, I received my PhD in Chemistry from Florida State University in 2022, and I am currently a research scientist at EPFL after a postdoctoral research stay at Harvard.

My research has primarily focused on semiconductor nanocrystals and metal halide perovskite materials. I've worked in depth in both the synthesis and spectroscopic characterization of these materials for optoelectronic and spin-based applications.

My future work will leverage this experience into cutting-edge research focused on the synthesis of emerging semiconductor materials, along with spectroscopic characterization aimed at improving these synthetic methods toward both spin- and optoelectronic applications.
